Emma and her Milk Bone

Emma loves the first of the month. That is when her prescriptions from PetMed arrives in a box. Not that she is interested in the pills, we have to wrap it in between deli counter's roast turkey breast to give her the pills. The one thing that she really look forward to is............

the complimentary milk bone they put in the box for her. Kinda like kids with the toy in their happy meal. Throw away the food and just give them the toy. In Emma's case, throw away the pills and just give her the milk bone. Dad made a mistake of touching her milk bone and here is what happened all day.

Emma: Can I hide it here?

Emma: Maybe if I buried the milk bone in my blanky? No one will find it.

Emma: Maybe not.

Emma: What if someone take it away from me?

Emma: Jaw is getting tired. Must put it away for a while.

Emma: This should be fine

Emma: Look safe enough.

Emma: Then again, never mind!

She ended up having the milk bone in her mouth for over an hour until mom took it away from her for safe keeping. Emma is extremely possessive with her food.

  2. Bones are prized-posessions! This photo series reminds me of the Travelers Insurance commercial.

  5. Jessica,

Check out the next post on Wordless Wednesday. The size of that raw hide shoe. Emma tried to eat it all in a day! She almost succeeded. We had to take it away! Yes, they have very strong jaws. Love Dachshunds so much. Following your blog now.

  6. Cute pictures - I love it when dogs are so into their treat that they carry it around as a prized possession, instead of eating it!
